The music from Katniss's monologue to the end is so beautiful

The most beautiful part about the books is the symbolic use of dandelion,for katniss,when she was at her lowest after her father's death and then her mom went into depression and mentally shut herself down,at age 11 katniss had to take the responsibility for the survival of her family, at one poing when she had no food and was about to starve to death,she feel near the bin of the bakery and the bakery owners wife(peeta's mother) kind of shushed her away,peeta saw that and intentionally burnt the bread and threw it to her,so when she gave all hopes on survival, guess who became the hope for her? Yes peeta. Next day at school,she saw peeta,and suddenly looked away when he saw her aswell,but next to peeta's face were dandelions,and suddenly she felt good,she felt that life can be good,she got the idea of surviving by eating those dandelions,that's why she associated peeta with dandelions in the end,as peeta reminds her of those dandelions, that gives her hope,in goodness and in life. It is a beautiful foreshadowing in the first book itself.

In The Hunger Games I Saw The Movies Before I Read The Books. You'd Think It Would Be The Other Way Around But It Wasn't With Me. I'd Read The Books And I'd Be Going through The Books In My Minds Eye And It Would Be Flashing Before My Eyes, What Happened In The Books/What Happened In The Movie.

i start sobbing every time when the hug she attacks him with in the beginning is her reaction to realizing that the peeta she knew has returned. planting the primroses is an act of the old peeta and she is so happy and realived that hes back because she thought shed never have the old peeta back so she just throws herself into his arms and he gladly holds her tight because he thought she’d never allow him to be near her again

this franchise is not flawless, but the peaceful ending satisfies me. they've all been through so much

In the end, just think of what it took for Katniss to have a family.

They have been through so much that she feels so safe with him

People who are saying she should’ve ended up with Gale and that she doesn’t actually love Peeta are trippin😭 she literally told gale from the beginning that she doesn’t think she ever wants kids. Then she has kids with Peeta who she shares a genuine bond with. She obviously loves him y’all, it’s really that Simple lol.

I love the fact that Katniss and Peeta ended up together.

The primrose scene is way better in the movie. In the book she just nods in assent. Here she hugs him.

This MANNNNNN Really is her PEACE! people don’t understand the emphasis on that say peace she needed peace in her life, and he was the one to finally give it to her, and he loved her all along, and he waited for her to catch up and she did, which makes their love story all the more heartwarming 🤧🤧🤧🤧 she lost her sister I’m the middle child and I have two siblings who are both sisters so I can’t even imagine what katniss went thru but he comforted her and he gave her a peace no one in that world could give her but him. when he asked her did she love him and she said yes, I (mentally) could rest peacefully .😌❤️ fck gale peeta IS the Amazon ✅ An ABSOLUTE green flag ❤️❤️❤️ she deserved her happiness she fought long and hard

I love this ending. It’s sweet, but not happy. It’s a bittersweet happy ending that executes the dreadful feeling, but the happiness in the war being over.

By the look of their oldest son; he must be the one in the newest hunger games as an adult. The same golden locks of hair. Just when I thought the hunger games was done…..NOPE.

I found out that apparently it took many years for katniss to finally agree to have children with peeta, I'm glad that they found peace together. 🥺

All those fights. All those deaths. That sacrifice from the 1st movie to save her sister, only to lose her to another villain who also craved power. Very sad

this scene is so heartbreakingly beautiful, especially the part where they're sitting on the porch where they're looking out while it rains. the music, the lighting...it's just beautiful. it always makes me want to cry. everything about this whole epilogue. in the silent moment where katniss and peeta just exchange a glance and katniss smiles a bit, it feels like they finally won. even though they lost so, so much along the way, in the end they still had each other. i can see when katniss smiles a bit that its almost like a reassurance that "it's over now, we can rest".

I just FINALLY finished watching the entire series for the first time Just an Amazing series

Here's the thing with Susan Collins with other writers this ending may have found tacked on or like it was tacked on just to fulfill societal expectations of Happily Ever After but it absolutely isn't here. This feels like an absolutely excellent ending for Katniss as a character because while she does say she doesn't want kids it's because she doesn't want to bring them into the world she lives in. Katniss having kids shows that she's finally feeling stable and secure and that's why it works so well

I remember when I finished this movie I felt so empthy

Somehow I didn't like the filming of the ending scene. Katniss and Peeta miles afar from each other (even when portraying a family). And then this huuuge giant baby that really doesn't look like it is katniss's child. I love everything about the 4 films, I can rewatch them a million times, except this very last scene.

I wish they had done a better job of conveying almost 20 years had passed by that point. Katniss is mid to late 30s in this scene.

As much as everyone said about peeta being a green flag, katniss too with her good moral compass throughout the series despite her traumas she still held onto her morals. Mostly its understandable to gets confused during these times, but she neveer for once blinded by it. Both of them deserved each other. To have a peeta, we too have to be like katniss.

The little boy in this scene is Jennifer Lawrence's nephew Bear.

The whole Gale and Peeta thing represents me growing up. I shipped Gale the first time because he was hotter but then it all changed as I grew up with the film and Gale can rot in hell. Fuck that ho.
